Best (no sling) tire shine for huge tires

My next door neighbor just got a new 2006 Chevrolet "Remington package" truck and I'm going to be doing regular detailing on it quarterly and weekly washes.

My question is what do you recommend as a tire dressing that is quick to apply but doesn't sling and lasts at least a few days. These tires are big mud type tires so I'm looking for a dressing that I can apply quickly.

Thanks

I like Armor All applied with a foam tire swipe, allowed to dry at least 5 minutes. AA is watery enough that makes for easy application as opposed to a more viscous formula. With a tire swipe, I avoid the glossy look (although it is still possible if you desire). I get no sling and it lasts thru 1-2 washes and a rain event.

I get similar results with Vinylex and NXT Tech Protectant with slightly different looks.

I highly recommend Meg's Endurance -- either in the original low-gloss or high-gloss formulas. It's a gel, easy to apply with a foam applicator, and has lasted through over a week of heavy rain so far. Smells like grape kool aid, too!

Meg's Endurance is a good product. I like Poorboy's BnB a lot for a water based dressing.

You can minimize or stop slinging by allowing the dressing to sit for 15-30 minutes and then wiping down the tires to get rid of any excess. Proper application prevents any slinging.

spray hyper dressing while tire is wet, then after like 20 minutes apply vinyl dressing...what ever you use for interior or hyper dressing by foam applicator..then rinse applicator clean :)

Megs Endurance is the best I have found, either gloss or matte, no sling on my 4Runner. Zaino will not sling, but doesn't do much for the look of the tire, seems to absorb and go away. Blackfire looks good, but I get a little bit of sling. As long as you do not leave a thick coat of these products on the tire, you will not get sling.

My suggestion would be to think about your method of application. If you want to spray it on, then go for a liquid tire dressing. If you want to wipe it on, get a gel dressing and foam applicator.

My .02, would be to not consider sling when choosing a dressing. No dressing made for tires will sling if you use it sparingly, give it ample drying time, and buff it out.... buffing being the most important step. This has been my experience, atleast.

That being said, my favorite dressing is HT Grape Tire Dressing for its durability, look, and price.
