Hello everyone, wanted to get a up-to-date report on the latest greatest microfibers from direct user experience. I've always invested in high quality, expensive towels and they do pay for them in the long run! Recently I'm noticing after a few years and few hundered washes lol that they are starting to leave a very faint hair line scratches on jet black and darker paints. Long story short looking to get a complete new stock of MF and wanted to know whats the newest tech in MF and where to purchase them at the best prices...

Please list your picks:

Type of MF you use for removing polish (please state why it works for you)

Type of MF you use for removing wax (please state why it works for you)

Thanks

Is DF Concours the same company that a lot of people were having trouble with in recieving their orders? If so, does anyone have an update as to whether or not they recieved their items?

Has the potential to be areally good thread - although I'm not sure you'll get a consesus. There are just so many choices out there.

I was told by a very reputable detailer on the site here that most MF's come from the same few sources. If that's indeed true, then I think it comes down to simply picking a quality vendor (and you'll probably get quite a few recommendations from this post) and just doing some price shopping. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to MF shop - beleive me.....

I've used MF's from pakshak and Excel Detail and have had no issues with either vendor. To date, the nicest MF I have bought is Patrick's Excel Elite Polishing Towel (16x16). Great for polish/wax removal and QD.

great replies!!! any users actually had several washes and still have good things to say about their MF's?

I washed the CG Gold towels 3 times on the day I received them just to see how they would look. I have since washed some of them 3 or 4 more times and have no issues.

I got one real stained up washing rims and Tide with Dawn StainScrubbers knocked the stain out.

UPDATE!!! Out of all the suppliers I just got off the phone with Robert Regan that owns Towel pros Wholesale Distributor of Microfiber Towels and Cleaning Products - Towel Pros Home he was very informative and helpful in making a decision on my next MF purchase! Give him a call he's great! 1-888-869-3576 .

These days it comes down to a vendor that you trust and could rely on providing you with a quality product and a service with a smile! I could honestly say my source for MF's is going to be with Towel Pros!

I have a good collection of various towels. From the Prima monster fluffy to chemical guys to sonus and eurow. I hate the DF towels. I hate to use $40 towels on my wheels but they pretty much are useless. The eurow shag are great for QD'ing as are the prima monster fluffys. When it comes down to it, i like my chemical guys towels the most, they work for just about everything other then drying. They have a short and long knap side and just plain work for a reasonable price. For drying I dig the sonus der wunder towels. That's my 2 cents.

I've been very satisfied with the entire Uber line from detailersdomain.com. His new Uber Green towel is stupidly soft and shaggy, and is perfect for polish and wax removal. His yellow towels are priced well too, but still very soft and I feel perfectly comfortable using them on bare paint.

My experience has only been with Griot's, Megiuars, and cheapo chinese crap, so YMMV from my opinions.
