Best method to remove fiberglass dust

After a 3 month project my car is covered in fiberglass dust and several times during project time I had to set the car outside for a day where it got lightly rained on. Later this week I need to get all this dust off and do as little damage as possible. Before all the glass dust floated around, the car had been polished and finished with two layers of Natty`s Blue wax.

My thought was to take it to the car wash (1 block away) and hopefully power wash the dust off before doing a hand wash.
I`m sure some scratches will happen and I`m prepared to hit it with Megs 205 next spring but I wanted to see if there was a better thought process to get this dust off.

It`s situations like this that make me wonder if a ceramic coating will allow the dust to simply fall off when washed or if the dust would still stick to the coating requiring a rag/mitt to get this dust off..?

This brings up a comment: I have yet to see a ceramic coating test of someone hosing a car off after several weeks/months of daily driving to see if dirt simply falls off or if it still requires the use of a rag/mitt to get the grunge off the coating... any vids of this procedure would help me out a lot in choosing a coating.

any chance of taking it outside and blowing off most of the dust with compressed air? then just SOAK it from a foam cannon repeatedly. If no foam cannon, foam gun should work.

I have neither, and if it were my car with what I have in the garage, it would be a thorough soaking of PB Bug Squash followed by hosing it off. Likely a few rounds of it. My logic: bug squash to loosen it up as a pre-soak, then tons of water to flush it. No rubbing.

Thanks Gents.. It`s stuck on really good and won`t blow off but soaking it may have been a good idea, however, I just got back from the car wash and the pressure washer got the stuck on dust off but the bad news is there`s still a light, course film over everything, even the chrome under the hood and the glass. Even wiping it down with a MF towel during the washing process didn`t get this film off so it may come down to a polishing effort (either by hand or buffer) when I get time. Not a big deal just need to plan to do it before winter hits.

I`d suggest claying that first before going at it with a buffer. You may find that glass dust will trash your paint.

I`m going to try Eraser first. I may be lucky in that it`s just stuck on the 2 coats of wax that`s under it.

Cheap plastic like the ones in the bodyshop ....Homers has them in different mil thickness. Some slight marring with plastic / mitigation vs. well, what you`re dealing with now.
