im detailing some trucks with those metal tool boxes and i usually use a wool pad with a metal polish but can any one recommend a different kind of polish cause as of now i use mothers aluminum/metal polish

Hmm.. I have some Meg's All Metal Polish I can now try with a rotary. I also have Flitz. I've also read about the three grades of Heavy metal polish.

which brand offers the 3 grades, i havent tried this with a foam pad most of the metals i polish are not clear coated so i use a wool pad. i havent tried it yet on a metal rim/toolbox that has clear coated polish .

6'[ ] '9 I use the Heavy Metal polish and it is awesome on non clearcoated metals. Used it on aluminum and stainless with great results. I start with their coarse polish first, red in color, then use their medium grit, green. I finish it off with Mothers and it comes out great. I will be doing some forks on a Harley this week and I will use the Heavy Metal Polish after I remove the clearcoat.

It is good stuff.
