Best lighting for detailing in a garage

Based on pics I have seen on here, a lot of you guys use halogen lights. I always thought florescents were better to use so I had 3 rows installed in my garage and I made a mobile florescent light that I move around the vehicle with me as I work. Are halogens better? I have a Craftsman halogen two- light set with a tripod that I can use.

Florescents the best for waterspots and general lighting.

Halogens are the best for spotting defects.

Brinkman gets the most use for me, as its handheld.

Multiple. As Bryan mentioned, different light sources are better for spotting different defects. You need a combination of them to cover all of your bases.

I have fluorescents and then a head mounted LED that I use to see some of the defects. I really like it because you don't have to worry about your body getting in the way of it. I also use halogens at times as well.

D!
