Best lazy man's combo?

From what I've read around here, it sounds like the easiest combo is Klasse AIO topped with Menzerna FMJ. I have a minivan, so I really don't want to obsess about appearance. I want something durable that won't require many steps. I hear Klasse SG is very durable and looks great, but I also understand it can be easy to over-apply, which then makes it tough to buff out.

Is this (Klasse AIO and FMJ) my best bet?

Thanks!

Zaino. Set it, and forget it!

Initial process is a PITA (took me 7hrs), but after that it takes 2 seconds to put another coat or 2 of Z2 on there. I'm told the shine/protectant lasts up to 6 months!

Poorboys Blue PwC topped with Collinite 915. It has better cleaning (IMHO) than AIO, looks better, and will last up to 6 months with around 2 hours of application time too. Zaino and KSG hold up great, but are miserable to apply.

Well, I keep my minivan about as nice as our good cars and I consider the Kasse twins to be enough of a "it's just a minivan" compromise, but anyhow...

If you want something quick and easy, I'd go with Collinite too, but I'd probably use eithe their 845 or 476S. I'd consider using a mildly abrasive polish first, by hand I'd go with 1Z Paint Polish.

Zaino is a good bet for durability. Wife's Honda Pilot still beads like crazy after a wash and and FK425 application. After the initial zfx application you do not need to mix so it is indeed not very much time consuming. I use FMJ on my Impreza and it was quite well as well. (wash and FK425).

Myself I am thinking of trying FMJ and HGAS and/or OCW. These should be a good formula to keep a daily driver in top shape.

cheers

If you are lazy the Finish Kare line up is right up your alley.

FX100 and 425 on and off in 5 minutes with just a good a shine as I've gotten with any other product.

I'm not lazy at all but after a day of track/autocross the car is filthy and this time a year its a weekly event. I don't care to spend many hours cleaning on Saturday to undo it on Sunday. Finish Kare is a god send. And a $50 order only resulted in a $5 shipping fee. Hats off.

As for Polish it doesn't get any easier than wipe one wipe off. Klasse All In One. Still the king.

I also ordered Acrylic Jett spray to compare against FX100.

The Klasse twins are as good as it gets, overall. Once you get the hang of it they are fairly easy. Use the wowo method rather than letting the SG sit. Most people have found little difference between these two methods.

In another post, I talked about getting some refillable aerosol cans from Harbor Freight Tools. I am anxious to see how the SG works in them. My guess is it will work just fine and if that is the case, applying SG will be no harder than any QD.

I would NEVER want to do a big car with Klasse SG if I were a lazy man.

SG is not a lazy man's product. You have to be precise, otherwise you'll be earining your elbow grease license to get out the streaks from using too much product.

While a lot of the recommended combos are very easy to use, I'd want the corrective ability of something like the 1Z Paint Polish. Even beaters deserve to have their marring reduced/eliminated ;)

To those of you who think Klasse SG is too much trouble, try this:

Pick up a 2-Pack of TurtleWax 5"-6" Wooltex bonnets from Pep Boys, put one on the (otherwise useless) foam backing plate that came with your Porter Cable, hand-apply a thin coat of SG to THE ENTIRE VEHICLE, and buff it off with the PC set on about 5. I have regularly treated customers' two black Lexus (an LS430 sedan and an LX470 SUV) using this method. No swirls, no halo's, no streaks. If you are skeptical, try it on just one panel. I think you will like the results. I store the Wooltex bonnet in a large ZipLock bag or other container and use it ONLY for removing SG. With apologies to Bill, I prefer my method to wowo.

AJ trigger is my lazy man sealant!!! goes on easy.......just dissapears as your wipeing it in, looks awsome!!! Did a full dodge dakota, 2 coats within 1hr and 15 min (including the 30min wait in between for the first coat to set a bit, as suggested by jeff).

How could anyone forget OCW? Looks great and is super fast and EASY to apply. Sometimes I'll use OCW after like 3 polishing steps if I am just worn out.
