Best high temp lsp?

My car got a good coat of collinite for winter and I have been amazed by its longevity, but I'm not sure if its the best thing for texas summers.



My car sits outside 24/7 so I want something that will last in the heat and copious amounts of direct sunlight I get, but also stay strong for 3 or so months. After some reading it seems collinite, as all waxes, can get pretty grabby and loose some of its lifespan at higher temperatures, so what would be my best bet here?

Your not going to find any wax that will last that long in Texas during our famous summers sitting outside I'm afraid.........



I would recommend a sealant instead of a wax product to be honest. And if longevity is important to you, I would highly recommend Zaino products. I don't know of any that are as durable in high heat conditions......

why not just try the collinite and see how it works for YOU in the summer

I think you might just be shocked how well it holds up
 
IM In middle east the weather is very hot , 40 - 50 temp ,and more ifound zymol concourse ,swissvax concorse better than any wax they have good durability

. but if im think about shine and refliction i will go with p21s .
 
Fk1 1000P claims high heat resistance. Your best bet is to apply something like 476S or 1000P and then top at washes with something like OCW/Z8/AW/UQD/etc.

I think Klasse or CarLack would do well. 2-3 layers of the Pure Sealant (not the AIO) applied in 24 hour intervals would give good protection throughout the 4 month plan you're looking at.

Both those oughta do fine in the summer, even in TX. IME, once a wax sets up it's not that easily melted/heat-compromised. ScottWax gets good results with *Souveran* in Texas!
 
I don't know how well fk 1000 will hold up under heat but as of now i put 2 coats on my wifes car in late october and it's still beading very ,very well sitting outside in the pa cold.
 
Carnauba Moose and #16 worked fine for me on a black car here in Texas. Souveran held up 3 months too-but Pinnacle does claim that Souveran is formulated to stand up to high temperatures. I just never liked how sealants looked on my old black 626 so I always used carnaubas. No issues in the winter or the summer.
 
Collinite held up all summer for me on an non-garaged daily driver, and then some. I would try that before you go spending money on a new LSP.
 
I know the collinite is some damn tough wax, but I'm worried how it will hold out in LOTS of direct sunlight. I go to graduate school at rice, and theres no way for me to get under an overhang or in a parking garage without going 2 hours early. 6 hours sitting in 100F direct sun. :bawling:



After reading some the Fk1 1000P looks really promising, but I'm not totally sold over the Zaino.

IW 845 for the last 34 years - longer than alot of you guys have been living :laugh: . you can not go wrong. this is extreme protection. my opinion/experience of course. ;)
