best for black??? clearcoat scratches????

Well Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover for Dark Colored Cars shouldn't just fill the swirls I thought. I was under the impression from many people that it would remove the swirls.

Try the NXT and see what happens with the swirls. NXT will definitely make the black blacker. All is not lost. Hang out here and as time passes you will become more informed and less anxious about polishing. The trick with black, especially a daily driver, is to only wash properly. Never, unless you are ScottWax ;), do a quicky wash. You are better off letting the car stay dirty until you can use proper technique. Never QD even a dusty black vehicle. Can you spell - holograms if you do.

As I mentioned before VM and EX is a wonderful combo. :wavey

welcome to new england. Weather sure sucks here, and now that its getting warmer, we get that sand/salt wind storms in the parking lot where I work. My car is a Black WRX and it sure looks very nice when properly taken care of. As stated above, I too decided to only wash the car and not QD it, because thats how I got a lot of swirls last year. Also, I only do 3MSMR on it once a year, or do a light swirl remover twice a year, before and after winter. Claying at 40 degrees isnt that good of an idea too. The clay will become hard and not do its job. Working AIO on the paint also doesnt work as good as at 80 degrees.
