Best filling glaze?

Ok, questions about PB Black Hole. What 'can' you follow this up with? Can I top it off with 1Z Glanz Wax, or must I go back to One Grand Blitz?

I ask because in an ideal world I could stay with Glanz, but I need the fillers that PB Black Hole might contain.

Jester, why not One Grand Omega Glaze? I was going to mention that anyway. Then i saw your reply. One Grand OG would be stellar with the Blitz. The Omega is one of the finer glazes I have used. My second recommendation would have been #7.

These two products meet the definition of glaze to me. Pure gloss and fill........

As for
it's like a glaze and paint cleaner all in one.
How is that possible. On one aspect it removes, the other it fills? C'mon!

Actually the AutoGlym SRP and some things like 1Z WPS/MP somehow do both things fairly well. Ditto for Pinnacle's PCL and P21s GEPC but with less filling IME.

If you mean 1Z Glanz you'll just have to try it and see if the solvent content is too much for the OGOG :nixweiss My wild guess is that it'll work OK as it is commonly used over 1Z products that behave in a glaze-like manner.

If you mean one of the 1Z polishes, they will clean the OGOG off.

You are correct, I mean 1Z Glanz Wax over One Grand Omega Glaze. I'm asking because I believe OGOG is water based, not polymer based.

Still trying to fill what I can of those pits, so I think I'm going to Glaze, Glaze and then finish with One Grand Blitz or 1Z Glanz. I should do a half and half on the hood trunk for giggles and see what happens.

Wow. I know so little about glazes. Time to hit the books for me!

Do you guys get good filling with #7? I've tried it a few times with no luck.

Jester7677- Be sure to use a glaze that doesn't dry white/thick or the pits might look even more noticable! On the M3's pitted areas, I'm probably gonna just use a spray sealant (until it gets to the paintshop).

Eh..it always seemed OK for this, about like the 3M IHG...it's just that (IMO) there's only so much that products like this can do and it's easy to have unrealistic expectations.

Yeah, I'm wondering how the OGOG will set up/dry. I'm going to try and apply it with a PC at slow speed. I'm also going to try applying a section by hand. I wonder which will have better end results. The pits I have are not as deep as the front bumper, but perhaps a bit wider?

I thought about the spray sealant... just not there yet even though I have a full untouched bottle of ZCS that I've not used as I abandoned most of their stuff due to the effort and millions of layers required. I do so love their tire dressing and Z10 leather treatment!

I really like P21S GEPC. Good stuff. Some crazy Canadian recommended it to me.

If you do a search on this site for "3M foam polishing pad glaze" for black cars, you will find it has major fill properties. Just had my car buffed at a body shop with this stuff and it was amazing.

Heh heh, I only tried it on the Jag, but I did *not* like it :nana: ...well, based on that one single experience :o Heh heh, maybe I'll give it another shot on some vehicle that I'm not so opinionated about

I've tried 3 different glazes to HIDE swirls:

Meguiar's #7 - oil based

Menzerna FTG - clay based

CG EZ-Creme - acryllic? (I dunno)

Of the 3, Meguiar's #7 was the best at hiding swirls.

Taking it one step further, the best swirl hiding combination I've ever discovered was ironically, OTC Meguiar's #7 Glaze w/ #26 Yellow Wax.

I once had a contaminated clay bar, that totally swirled up a portion of my hood. A couple of layers of #26 wax on top of #7 and I could no longer see the swirls! Absolutely amazed. Downside was durability was a major issue (few weeks only), but it sounds like you're looking for an interim solution, so Meg's #7/#26 is what I recommend.

For the swirled area mentioned above, I also tried Menzerna FTG w/ PB's EX-P b4 I got my Flex. Minimal effect in hiding swirls.

Now that I have a Flex, I no longer hide swirls and go with the popular products (like the CG EZ Creme / JetSeal / 5050).

IMO I use meg#7 and PB black hole: I am not sure of the filling ability because I used them only on polished car but #7's result were way better then PB, the car was so wet and deep (on a black evo) I could believe it I top it off with pinnacle souverain.

I like CG Ez-Glaze.........

It doesn't fill too well, but it really brings the depth out of the paint!

I've also had no problems w/bonding (Klasse HGS)
