Well i used dacp on my car and it removed the heavy swirls and such. now what is good to use after that? a good combo for red? i hear good things about vm and ex-p but are there other good combos? thanks.

which would be better on red?

1)dacp, #80, s100

2)Klasse twins(AIO,SG), s100

3)dacp, vm, ex-p

Or whichever other combos you like. thanks.

After I've removed scratches with DACP...

My 'secret' is AutoMagic's #76 GS-1 polish.

Foam finishing pad on the PC.

On black and red, it leaves the finish just perfect, everytime!

No fillers. Really a great product...

Follow with the Klasse Twins (SGx2) and S100. Bling, Bling! Without fail.

Klasse twins! Excellent protection against the three paint-killer juices - tree jiuce, bug juice and bird juice. After 3 x SG, the maybe a little Souveran.

The word 'best' is far too subjective.

You should let us know what kind of look you want to achieve (depth, wetness, reflectivity, gloss, glow, etc)

For my money, nothing has touched Wolfgang x 3 on my red integra.

It absolutely glows. Good Luck.

how does the VM, ex-p,s100 combo look on red?

I didn't like EX-P on the two red's I have done (mine and Imola Red). It seemed to take away from the depth of the color. However, I topped the Imola Red with Clearkote's CMW and it looks amazing. I think S100 would give a similar look.

On another note, I will be attending Poorboy's detailing meet tomorrow and giving EX a shot on my car...I will be sure to post results.

I am re-thinking my vm, ex-p, s100 combo on my red. I have to look into wolf gang or maybe go with the favorite AIO, SG, but for a beginger SG is fairly hard to apply, AIO is easier. so maybe vm, AIO, s100?

I like Carnubas or Blackfire on reds. Prep is important. This 190 does not have a clear coat. I used DACP then GEPC, both applied with a PC. For the top coat, I used Blackfire.

The finish glows, and is deep red. Given the lack of a clear coat, Blackfire should provide some level of long term protection. Blackfire works well when topped with a Carnuba, which is what I will do for this car.

BFII. have never used the older BF, so can't comment on it.

BFII has a great finish, and is easy to use if thin layers are applied. However, that deep wet look goes away after a wash. My favorite combo is BFII topped with either Pinnacle or Zymol. The carnuba keeps that wet look longer than BFII by itself.

I am still evaluating the longevity of BFII. I think BFII with a carnuba topper is a good compromise for a daily driver. Good looks and good protection.

Reds, go and see my pics of my SC430 here and some on the homepage of Poorboy's World.

This was done with one coat of EX-P.

Tomorrow, we have a Poorboy's World Detail Day and will show what it looks after applying Nattys carnuba on one area and Souveran on another.

So far, I've come to love Souveran on reds and blacks. Just makes them look the deepest wettest I can find.

Regards,

Deanski
