Best combo on a Red Corvette???

If it does not have metallic, I would go with Danase Wet Glaze topped with Souveran or Lusso Revitalizing Creme topped with Lusso Oro.

You'll probably get many options & opinions from others on this topic. There are so many options for you to go with. If you wanna "electrify" the bright red Vette's color, go with ZPC,Z5 Pro,Z2 Pro,Z8 combo. If you want a glossy look, try KAIO,CG EZ Creme Glaze or Danase Wet Glaze, AJT topped with DG AW. If you want Depth, wetness & rich juiciness (lol), try RMG or Pink Moose, topped with Souveran.

Once again, many, many options out there.

I am a wax guy. Can not help to look a a paint that has a deep, rich, glowing look. Thats why I sugessted Pin. Souveran. I have a red RX-8. And Zymol's Vintage would be the ultimate!!!!! You can use the Men. PO85RD with a finishing pad to remove all products on the car now, and give it a finish you would not want to add anything to. RMG would give it a added bonus. Then Pin. Souv. X 3 is unbeilveable finish. Zaino has better durability. But I wax at least every 3 weeks. Good luck, lots of good combo's out there.

I like the Menzerna polish too but, would finish off with Z-5P, Z-2P, Z-CS and top with Z-8......

1Z einszett metallic polish wax and glanz wax are very good on red and black. To me it gives a dark rich finsh.

I just order a loaded Crimson Red Metallic Tint Coat C6 on the 3 Jan 08 for museum delivery in March 08. Since I’m doing museum delivery I bring a bottle of Aqua Wax along for the trip back. I own Souveran and on black the RMG and Souveran combo is hard to beat in my eyes. On my red 35 Ford I like Victoria Red Wax but it is a single stage without metallic so I’m not sure if it will mute the metallic in CRM but that will be my first try. If that doesn’t work out the here is the order I’m going to try Souveran, Ultima, then Zanio as my last resort. I believe on CRM what would look best out of the Zanio lineup would be ZAIO, Z5Pro and Z8. I think Z2Pro would be two bright(looks better on light colors) and CS looks more like old Z2 prior to Z2Pro being released. The durability of VW and PS is probably 4 to 8 weeks on average and the durability on Ultima and Zanio is 4 to 6 months on average.

You didn't mention whether your car has been fully polished. If it hasn't then your putting the cart before the horse. The top coat is only about 10% of the shine. The real magic occurs during polishing. Anyway, I have a black C6 and tried a few combos last year. They are:

1. Zaino Z-5 & Z-8

2. Clearkote RMG & Carnauba Moose Wax

3. RMG topped with Pinnacle Souveran

I settled on the RMG/Souveran combo for looks not durability. Here's the best part about this combo. When you need a refresher, you simply slap another coat of RMG right on top with no polishing. :wow: Then top with another coat of Souveran and it looks dripping wet again.

Thanks for all the Info !! I have just recived my Menz SIP and 106ff I already have RMG and some CMW I also have the Zaino line on hand too. Soon as I get her done I will post pic's ..... Thanks again

Zaino tends to make the F-bodies look very plastic. It doesn't look that great, IMO, and would go with a different sealant or even better a good wax, such as Souveran which has already been suggested multiple times.

good thing he does not have a F-body then;)

Yes, I realize this. It was just a generalization (as I don't specifically know what year) and I should have mentioned that the comment was directed toward late model camaro/vette/TA's in general, but my specific experience was from F-Body's. :)

I used the Zaino system on my previous Torch Red C5 and presently on my Millennium Yellow Z06.

There are many great combos available and I have tried almost all of them.

Hard to go wrong with any of them if you concentrate on the paint's prep.
