Texas Tech , OU , OSU and Texas are in the same Big 12 division so only one of them can go to the big12 championship game.. the other team in the championship will probably be missouri

Sorry about that, my brain was on strike when I posted that.

Well, you would think that the winner of the Bama/Florida SEC Championship game would be a shoe in to make the BCS Championship but I heard that the computer rankings are not giving Florida much respect and there is a small (again I said small) chance that if Florida only beats Bama by a small margin, those computer rankings would keep Florida only to rise to #3 and Bama would probably fall to #4 or lower. Then you would have a championship with OU (assuming they beat Mizzou) playing TX, USC, or Utah. I hope this doesn't happen and don't think it will but an article by Yahoo sports states there is a slight statistical possibility it could. Here's the article:

Can Texas play in the national championship if they don't win their conference championship?

Ok..Best team Ive seen this year part 2: Oklahoma, 60 points in what 4 or 5 straight games..Holy Toledo...I say they beat Florida

Florida and Oklahoma seem to be head and shoulders above the rest of the nation. I cannot wait till the bowls get going.

Interesting stat today: Florida played against 9 defenses ranked in the top 37 in the country. The highest ranked defense in the Big 12 is Texas at number 50.

Whoa!

Actually, it *is* possible. Doesn't happen often, but see Oklahoma in 2003 for an example. Lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 Tournament and then still went on to face LSU in the Sugar Bowl national championship game (and lost 21-14). They just had so any points in the BCS rankings that even with the post season loss, they still ended up in the national championship games.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Sooners and am an OU alum myself. And OU always builds some great (and deserved) expectations in the regular season.

But for some reason, starting in that '03 year incidentally, we've had some crummy BCS bowl experiences.

In '04 we lost to USC 55-19 in the Orange Bowl national championship game. And then in '06 we lost to Boise State in overtime 43-42 at the Fiesta Bowl. And in '07 we lost to a less talented, but harder playing West Virginia team 48-28 again at the Fiesta Bowl.

What made me really mad about the '06 year was that OU finished with two losses to Oregon and Texas. But if anyone saw that Oregon\OU game, that game was absolutely given to Oregon after some botched replay reviews by the refs (ball fumbled, but given back to Oregon when OU clearly came up with the ball). Had the refs not blown the calls in that game, we'd have likely gone on to play Ohio State in the national championship game. We probably would have lost that game to be sure, but it would have been less humiliating to lose to Ohio State in the national championship game than to lose to Boise State. :)

Anyhow, here's hoping OU doesn't completely botch another BCS bowl appearance. And best of luck to Florida and Tim Tebow who is an outstanding individual both on and off the field.
