Anthony A said:I didn't find NXT to particularly good at preventing water spots. I also found it to be hard on LSP.

I've tried several of the high-end washes at the local retailer and all seem to strip the wax in due time. A friend said to try the Blue Coral.
What is everybody using to wash black?
I think they have the Zymol soap at Target.unclearty said:People have mentioned the Zymol soap....where is it available? I've never seen it
OTC anywhere in the greater Boston area. Is it only available on-line?
JaredPointer said:How long are you getting out of the wax? Does the car sit outside in the weather a lot? Any other wax-life-shortening factors besides those?
I doubt if any soap, combined with the action of washing and rinsing the car, will be 100% at not removing any amount of LSP.

QEW = Quick & Easy Wash by Protectall. A low water use washing product.X2FLY said:Sorry guys, but I'm new to the detailing scene and I'm having a little trouble understanding some of the abbrevations....is there a glossary? What is QEW and LSP? Not trying to sound like a smart a*#, just trying to learn and understand.
Thanks
They are two entirely different products and because of that, my answer probably won't help you much.X2FLY said:Thanks CW!
If you had your choice, QEW or Z-7 Show Car Wash? I see a lot being mentioned about the Z-7 product.
Anthony A said:I find QEW to be a wash that does not remove LSP. In fact it clearly adds to it. There is definitely something being left behind when you use QEW. The paint has a glow to it and a waxy feel.
X2FLY said:The car stays in the carport most of the time. I wash it about every weekend. After the wash, I'm using EagleOne Wax as you Dry. Do you think it could be the EagleOne product?
JaredPointer said:I don't know anything about QEW or what it may or may not leave behind, but you don't think the act of dragging a mitt across the surface of the LSP wouldn't remove even a tiny bit of it? I think the laws of physics would suggest that continued/regular friction (weekly washings) would remove some of the LSP, ever how slight it may be. QEW may leave behind something to negate the effect, but routine washings would effect the life of the LSP IMO. No scientific proof or anything, just a hunch.

Your best bet for QEW is probably going to be Camping World. It isn't available locally in this area, either.JaredPointer said:Oooohhh yeaaahhh.Haha. Due to the lack of availability of QEW around here, I have yet to try it.
