Best base for Opti Seal?

I've used OS as a topper over all sorts of products in the last 9 months and really like it, but it has always been an afterthought usually applied some time after the original detail as a refresher etc. This time I plan to detail the car with OS as the primary LSP, and am looking for recommendations for the best base to use under it?

Priority is 'best look' then durability, and the car is Saab steel grey (titanium/dark silver colour).

I have available:

Ultima PPP

Werkstat Prime Acrylic & AJT

Duragloss 101, 105

DWG

EZ Creme Glaze

Malco Plum Crazy

RMG & various pre-wax cleaners...

What would be your recommendations, or maybe even just polish and an IPA 50/50 wipedown?

thanks

I would like to know this too. I just put DWG on my truck and I was thinking about what to top it with. I have a bottle of OS that has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust.

Yup OS over PS rocks. I imagine DG 105 under OS might have a similar result. My optimum and DG products generally play well together.

thanks guys

I was leaning towards the Prime Acrylic anyway (I really like this product) and dont want to be buying something else - esp as PS is expensive over here :(

Will give it a try. Has anyone used Prime Acrylic with a rotary? Thinking a finishing pad at low rpms, 900rpm, to clean and burnish the finish?

Don't bother buying Poli-Seal (don't get me wrong, it's a great product, I use it all the time), but you will still get great results with Prime Acrylic. It kinda melts into the paint when using a PC after the 1st or 2nd pass, so I dunno how it will work with a rotary.

Does RMG have any negative effects on durability if used under Opti Seal?

It might. That is why I top it with Carnauba Moose and then the next wash, I use Opti-Seal. Works perfectly that way. I keep the depth I get from the RMG/CMW and add the wetness of OS.
