All About The Bling Bling
I haven't been to this site in awile, used to visit it daily few years back. I'm a little shocked to see things have changed. Can someone fill me in on what went down? Was the site sold again? What is going on with the exclusive sponsership? I'd like to know.

Anyways, few things have changed with me. I no longer detail professionaly due to the business breaking me down. After back and knee surgeries i can't do it no more. Sold the truck and trailer in my avatar and i'm now living in pawtucket rhode island. I'm now a body piercer and part time tattoo artist.

Anyways who's still around that i used to chit chat with?
 
TrueDetailer, Things have changed dramatically in the past couple of weeks. There are a couple of threads on here during that period of time that explain the change. In a nutshell PBMA, the owner of AutoGeek purchased both Detail City along with Autopia-Car Care (Not to be confused with Autopia the forum). Autopia-Car Care sells products just like AutoGeek. They will be the exclusive sponsor here just like Auto Geek is the exclusive sponsor of their own site.

Autopia-Car Care is in the process of bringing in new lines, such as PoorBoys so that their product line is still available through this site. The PoorBoys Gang as well as Optimum People and Mothers People are still welcome here to discuss their specific products though ACC is the only paying sponsor. For the present time products purchased through ACC will be shipped form the PBMA Warehouse just like the AutoGeek products.

It was quite a shift and all we ask at this time is for everyone to give it a chance. I hope this gives some idea as to what has happened. I think most of the regulars are still here. I'm aware of no member that has jumped ship to this point due to the changes that have been made.

I too have not been around as much as my own job has me traveling everywhere. I started logging in again recently and one time I thought I came to the wrong site.
 
Hey TrueDetailer,

Gearhead did a good job summing up the recent changes. I'm John and have been deemed the new "Mayor" of the forum. It's definitely a lot to grasp for some of the members that have been loyal over the years.

Important thing to remember is the forum will be the same in spirit. Everyone will still be able to openly express their opinion as this is an open discussion forum. In fact, I call it "The People's Forum". The changes that are being made are for the better (i.e the website is no longer in danger of being shut down).

For me, for you and for the detailing community as a whole everything is now better.
