Bargain of The Year?: AL floor jack from HF

I've been very happy with both the jack and the 3 ton jack stands. My car has been lowered and this jack was one of the few that could get under my car. None of the more economical jacks could get under my car. This jack is also longer than most so I can reach the front and rear jack points more easily.

I need jack with high lift.....the one I have will not lift my truck up.....to get wheel off ground.....

I have to jack it up....put stand under....then lower jack and install special block of wood I cut to put between jack and axle....then I lift again...about inch at time....always reseting stand....

It stinks.....

I need jack with range from 8" to 28" or so......I gonn measure next time so I know for sure......

but before buying any jack check what ya need.....

~One man’s opinion~

I brought the low-profile 2-Ton floor Jack(21/2" - 18") and the 3-Ton Jack Stands (101/2" - 161/2") from Groit’s, loved the quality and the solid ‘safe’ feel. Well worth the $450 for peace of mind {I’d hate to be under a collapsed car thinking how much money I’ saved by getting ‘cheap’ lifting equipment)

I have a HF racing jack. It works just like a jack should. It lifts my 2800 pound car so I can get stands under it. It does it quickly, positively and without complaint. I used to have a $50.00 import that lifted all kinds of cars, lost it in a divorce, who cares. Bought this one and it WORKS fine.

right now, SAM's club is carrying several jacks - you can see them on their website http://www.samsclub.com

I purchased a 3 1/2 ton michelin jack today for $59. Beat the crap that walmart was offering that had welds that looked they were made in a special ed class. Besides, it had the michelin man on it.
