Barf odor in a minivan...

DaGonz

Autopia fire/rescue.
Got a call from a fellow firefighter tonight... she was taking her child to a doctor's appointment for flu like systems last week... the child vomited in the car, some of it went into one of the dashboard vents. She cleaned up the area as soon as she got home, but there is still what she calls "barf smell" when she sets the heater controls to the dash vent and dash/floor setting. Any ideas for getting the smell out? She does not want to take it to to the dealership to have the dash taken apart.

Thanks in advance!

You gotta see the car to see how bad it is.

You also need to remove al the damaged trim to completely disinfect/clean them. As long as you can access the problem in dash I don't see a need to remove it.
