I've had my BMW M3 for over 2 years now. I have kept it looking very nice, but we do not have a garage and I've had to really work hard to accomplish this feat. About a year ago we purchased a Lexus RX 330 for my wife. The color is "bamboo" which is a light green almost like a silver. Well, when we first bought the Lexus I detailed it using the Klasse Twins. Since then I have applied Klasse SG periodically, and recently a couple of coats of Souveran Paste wax. Yesterday I had some free time so I washed and clayed the Lexus. I then carefully examined the paint with a very bright light that I use for this purpose. I was amazed but I really could not detect any paint defects. So I skipped my planned polish step and went on to AIO and SG using a polishing and finishing pad respectively on my PC. This morning I applied Souveran - I couldn't help myself.
My conclusions: 1. The Lexus has really good paint. 2. The BMW has really soft paint that mars just thinking about it. 3. A light colored vehicle is nice if one is a perfectionist because I am sure the Lexus is not really defect free, it is just that I am not visualizing the defects.
