Bad day. Blaaaaahhh

Sorry about the job gone wrong Tex.

Last week we had a bad civic with peeling paint and a gross int. We pulled out all the seats, all the panels, and ripped up the carpet. We not only shampooed the carpet, but pressure washed it and kept it overnight to dry.

Then he comes in and starts yelling at us, saying he could have done a better job himself. He is a backyard dealer, a curber. I told him to get out of my shop, and lost a lot of money.

I think I would've lost it with that one!!!

Man, that sucks! I think some people are just miserable and the only happiness in life that they find is by making other people miserable too. I agree with everybody else that you handled it well, going well above and beyond IMO. I hope that your next details are much better and with something more fun to work on. Cheers man. :)

Dude, for starters that van is GROSS! I thought I got the bad interiors, the work trucks I occasionally see are nothing like that. If I had that van and was in your position I would have totally blown up. I can hold my temper pretty well, but crap like that sets me off pretty damn fast. I usually end up being a complete smartass, but in a "nice" way, you know? It gets to them pretty easy.

Anyway, I'm young, I've got an excuse for a year or two more :D

It's a rough situation and I've been similar places before, but at the end of the day, it only makes you stronger.

The one big thing I find is that you have to learn from situations like that. If need be, have them sign a waiver before the detail.
