Well I spent more money this past winter in search of " Shine Nirvana " and wasted my money.



I'm back to One Grand Blitz and Omega Glaze and lovin it. I can not replicate the following attributes with other products.



1 - Mettalic flakes jump out at you.

2 - Paint looks five inches deep when looking close.

3 - Applies easy and buffs easier when you wait only 10 mins.

4 - Slick to the touch.

5 - Clarity, Clarity, Clarity.

6 - Warm glow which is very distinct.

7 - Shine is very sharp.

8 - When it's very hot out the side of the car has a miraging effect.

9 - Lasts and Lasts especially if updated with OG Show Off.



One Grand works for me as my paint is dark.



Just my 2 cnts.

Same here BR, I really like s100 and FD but not as much as OG.

Also a gallon of QS. LOL



Just going to have to put them back in the bull pen.

rd_volvo, Wow, glad to hear you've "re-united" with an old favorite. Amazing since I've also decided to use Blitz on my wife's new red car (great minds :D ).



I really like the way P21S looked on black, but with the red car, I think the depth and wetness you get with Blitz is the way to go!! :up



I think I'll try your Wash'N Wax Mercurial Shine trick again. :bounce
 
LOVE BLITZ but in my opinion a bit of a dust collector did you ever try nattie's wax or 3m show car paste 2 very nice products
 
I use Blitz routinely. I just picked up the OG for the helluva it.



My only issue with Blitz is the trim stain. It's awful. Plus, if it goes on plastic bumpers like that of my Civic, after a rain fall, the black mud flaps turn white.



I have this same issue with 3M Show Car.



Come to think of it, all my rubber trim stains white too from Blitz on my VW Jetta



I still use it, only on cars that have zero black trim or visible rubber.
 
Too funny. Last night I was in a hurry after polishing with 1Z PP and rather than go through the whole routine, I just slapped some S100 on the hood. Of course, after doing the trunk, I tried some #26. I can't get over how good it looks, especially the S100. Back to the future!

Hey Spilch, this has been my workaround for Blitz trim stain. When you apply the blitz always leave about and in or two unwaxed at each trim or seam. If you buff in about 10 minutes the paste will be soft enough to move to the unwaxed borders. Give it a try.

Spilchy, I agree. Blitz is probably the most trim-unfriendly product I've ever used. It made a pretty bad mess of my wife's 330I which had a lot of trim and nothing I did would get rid of it. What finally worked was hours of rubbing away with a polymer eraser.



Thank god our new car has no trim. :cool:
 
Another satisfied Blitz user here!!! I love that stuff. I never gave up on it during the whole s100 craze. The warmth it produces is what keeps me coming back to it.



Though the trim staining can be a nightmare if you are not careful.

I used Blitz once and haven't used it since. I have a full can sitting on a shelf in my garage. There isn't much about that stuff that I liked. Poor longevity, attracts dust, stains trim, etc.
 
I'm surprised that longevity was a problem for you. I can get 2 months from it. I guess it all depends on where you are as well. I'm assuming arizona, based on your screen name. If so then the heat would be more of a factor over there. But that should apply to all waxes.

Soarer, I always work it by hand.



Dback, never heard of longevity problems with Blitz. Omega Glaze is important part of the system. Possibly the reason for your problem if you didn't use it.





Blitz may not be for everyone but I feel once you've got bitten by the Blitz/OGlaze combo you will keep coming back due to it's unique look.
