Baby Blue 1951 Mercury...

Sorry no before pics, but I figured that I would show off the very interesting car after I completed the detail.

I spent 2 full days with this interesting 1951 Mercury Custom street rod known a “Baby Blue”. Following a hand wash and clay the exterior needed a 2 step with Menzerna’s SIP PO 83 followed by Super Finish 106 FA. Hand waxed with Collinite’s Marque d’ Elegance.

All exterior chrome was hand polished with Speedy all metal polish.

Interior carpets and marine vinyl were steam cleaned with my new “toy” the Eurosteam ES 1900. The vinyl cleaned up really well with Meguiars APC diluted 20:1 with the steam.

Engine was steam cleaned and all chrome polished with Speedy. Painted surfaces were waxed with Stoners Speed Bead.

Possibly they don't have the money stashed away to keep a Ford engine running.

I don't know JaredPointer, Just makes my insides shiver when i see this done to a car.

Speed Bead? That doesn't sound like your style.

Speed Bead - very interesting. Have you been using that a good bit lately?

I have been using Speed Bead on the painted surfaces of the engine for about 10 years . Good quick cleaner wax for hard to reach surfaces including door jams.

Na Robert i would not do that nether . To me it takes away from the car.I like Chevy and Fords both but not to mix mach them with.
