B6 Audi A4 given a new lease on life...

I never charge for a detail, and never will, but being the nice guy that I am I helped my ex-girlfriends brother detail his B6 Audi A4 the other day... He had told me it was "bad" and it was really bothering him, when I got there it was swirl city! The entire car had swirls from top to bottom, lots of random scratches all over, and was looking dull. Rather than have him drop a couple hundred on a reputable detailer I told him I'd give him a hand. It was a pleasant 95* yesterday:) I showed him how to work the PC and had him do half the car with that while I used my hitachi rotary.

Needless to say he was thrilled so it was all worth it! My ex's parents were thrilled to see me and bought me lunch to boot:)

Excellent work! You have skills to finish down the Audi PITA clear like that. You need to start charging in the future IMO.

I bet he was thrilled! Remarkable work and looks fantastic now. You did a good job of photographing the swirls and holograms too. Looks like somebody who doesn't know what they're doing got a hold of it in the past. (Go BoSox - I'm a former Randolph resident living in Tampa).

The nicest part of the story is you familiarized him with the PC. If he's smart he'll invest a little bit and go out and get some supplies and maintain his black paint now. :up

Thanks for the compliments guys, I only detail cars for friends that seriously need it... For some reason they're always black too... I also did a friends Taurus 2 weeks ago that was an insane turn around. It's a lot of work and helping out a friend is more motivation than money to me, hence the no charge and why I could never do it for a living.

A funny aside to the story; he actually used to work for "RickRack" on here years ago washing cars at his dealership, before I knew him, but he never got to learn more than how to wash.

He has a whole folder of links I gave him to start reading up and will be buying some Z2, and maybe some other goodies to help maintain it.

Ok, the car looks great blah blah blah.

What we all really want to know is why you're still on friendly terms with your ex-gf's brother and parents! Do tell!

Zackb911- Wow, that really turned out nice :xyxthumbs That was a nice thing to do...

Heh heh, sounds like it's still considered unusual for people to stay on good terms after breaking off romances :nixweiss Glad to hear you're at least still getting along with her family.
