Autopian Garage

Ah yes...those ceilings aren't good for a sectional door that anything more than "normal" and right above your head.  But the ceilings look pretty cool I think.  That's an application that's a no-choice situation.  As you said, the insulation would be the biggest concern for me...but that all depends on where you're located too.  If 40 degrees is the coldest an area sees, then the insulated it a moot point.  Yea that hand chain sure is a work-out.  Lucky you have those detailer-forearms...you need 'em.

cobrar97- Heh heh, it gets much colder than 40 here, and those doors get mighty warm in the summer too!  Oh man...once you open one up in the winter that gas meter really starts spinning.  The garage does add on to the utility bills, but overall it's not as bad as having a separate property like I used to and it's sure lot more convenient.

Accumulator...that's for sure.  Not to mention, when those details get a little too extensive, your bed at 2:00am is close by.  Or on the other hand, when you just need to get that detail started at 4:00am...that garage is close by.  Everything can always be "better"...but having a detail garage at your house really is the best.
