Autopian Drivers

I think Autopian drivers park differently - close to landscaped borders/dividers to minimize door dings for example. :D

You're right. I find myself parking further and further away. Work is my only problem area, but at least the spaces are generous there.

Driving wise, I tend to be pretty safe but like to have fun every once in a while.

I do "parking survey" before going to a place which I'm not familiar with. Will ask around where is the best place to park, preferably covered and independent bungalow parking lot. Also always carry a map with me to plan the route in advance to avoid traffic jam. Some people find it hassle to do it this way, but I find that it reduces the hassle for me by avoiding unwanted troubles. Do the right thing in the first place will avoid costly repair.

I detail my car on the weekend and bike to work during

the week. :D

PS: 80% of American drivers believe they are above-average drivers. Go figure...

I'll only park between two cars if the spaces are wide, otherwise it is end spots or far out. It kills me to see a person park their BMW, Lexus, Porsche, or whatever they're driving, in the tightest spot around just because it is the closest. More money than sense I suppose...

I have been known to park in grass if I cannot find a suitable parking spot, LOL.

Autopian Drivers are mostly careful drivers. What do you think?

of course! we don't want anyone to hit our cars! :D

for me, i'm pretty careful, well more so now than before. i guess you can call it being defensive. yet, give me an open road, freeway, or space, and i'll be going a little faster than the other drivers. it's worse if my car just has been rained on because the rain only starts to blow off at 60 mph. ;)

and i'm not too good at times because i'll be looking at my hood to see how reflective it is. :D or if i see a nice black or red car that looks like it just has been detailed. ;)
