Autopia Winterizing Help Session

by the way how many people are coming tomorrow????

please dress warm, you are going to see what a pro detailer goes through during the winter, (and tomorrow is not even going to be that cold)

I suggest you wear something like a fleece jacket as it dries very

quick and keeps you very warm.

:bounce cant wait to meet & help everyone tomorrow

I'll be there, dressing warm and everything. I'm just gonna give the car a wash now to save time. Also if everything works out tommorow, i'll be interested in using your pdr guy if he's around. Thanks

Pete

THANKS NYDETAILER!

To all Autopians, we had the winterizing event today, and it was terrific. We all came with different goals, but we all left happy and thankful that NYDetailer was there to help with his expertise and supply of products which many of us had not tried before. All of us strangers got together and had a lot in common before we even started in on our cars! What a great bunch of guys!

My goal was to learn to use a PC, and after a quick lesson from NYDetailer, I felt like an old pro. We 3M'd it all to remove swirls, then polioshed it with Final Polish. Then two coats of P21S, and I was good to go! My car has NEVER looked better. We took lots of pictures, which NYDetailer and David B. will post.

Thanks again NYDetailer!

Hey Brian

This was a great day, in spite of the wind.

I finally learned how to clay my car properly. It is really smooth now. We learned lots of little tricks to make cleaning and polishing

go much faster. I'm not afraid to use that PC on my car any more.

It was nice meeting everyone and to realize that there are

a few other nuts like me who are very fussy about how a car should look. They came out really beautiful.

Can't wait to see the pictures. It was a fun day.

Many thanks for the education.

I think I may have a spot for up to about 5 cars, indoor. Walt (aka Baltic), Peter Y, NYD, ****, et al, you interested? As I mentioned, I keep my Beemer in a garage in NYC, indoor. Saturday's the place is dead, and I'm sure the guys who run the place (who "clean and wax" cars for $20) would love to learn how the pro's do it. With pictures and a certification, etc., they'd be able to charge more.

Lemme know.

Cheers,

John

I should be able to make it.

If the other two members are not autopian's then I can not give them anything. I dont want them just to become a member and then never do anything about it. They must be fully into detailing like we are otherwise we are just like every other forum out there. Support Autopia and it supports you!!

Let me know when you pick a date
