Autopia Winterizing Help Session

I have not decided on a place yet. I am looking into a few body shops that are friends of mine, or i will just have it outside my home. Either way it will be located in staten island, NY.



**If possible, please wash the veh prior to coming. If this can not be done then we will wash it. If you wash it we can QD it before we begin. I just dont want to be delayed washing the cars and wasting time. It gets dark early at now.
 
is it okay if I ..... don't wash my car... at all.... and just check out my fellow autopian rides and just listen to the stuff? I sorta have a date set to bond with my Focus. I'm not sure if I'm could go since I might be on call. I'm hoping I'd be able to go since after hearing the good things Tortuga said when he visited you.

Travelling this 1st weekend in November from Brooklyn to Staten Island will be rough on Sunday, given the NYC Marathon. :(

Im about 30 miles from Staten Island, so definitely count me in. This Saturday is ok....but I heard its suppose to rain. So if you re-schedule, the later into Novemeber, the better. Saturdays work for me. I can do Sunday, but the earlier we get a date settled, the better because I have to give about 2 weeks notice when Im taking Sunday off.



What exactly are we going to do and should we bring our own supplies?

You can bring your supplies if you like but i have a lot here to use. If you like something special on your car, you better bring it as i may not have it.

We are going to have a help session and winterize the cars.



Will be fun and we can get together and get to know each other.

I'm in for sure, just that this Sat. it seems that it might rain, or be really cloudy w/ temps in the high 30's low 40's, not sure how good for detailing. The week after that seems to be in the 50's. Either way i'll be down there, but if the weather is not going to be good this week, next week would be great, pref. sunday but it doesn't really matter. Also what time, how bout 1 pm ish if this sat.
 
We need an address (not sure if I missed it in the thread). Also, when you say wash the car, do you mean Dawn or gentle stuff. I have multiple fresh layers of AIO/SG as well as 2 layers of P100. I'd hate to start all over.
 
**************************************************** ok, I just got some bad news. I do not think i will be able to hold the help session this weekend.:(



As some of you already know I have a small heart condition that got worse. It seems I will need to be admitted to the hospital either today, tomorrow or friday for the procedure to be done to me.

They are going to burn a piece of the heart that is making it beat way to fast. What I have is called Atrial Fibluration (A-Fib).



Not sure what is going on, or when they will be doing this. I need to speak with my Dr. to find out what is going on.



I don't want this, as i just found out they go up through the groin:scared , into the artery and up to the heart. I will keep you posted and let you know when this will happen. It will be done at a heart specialist hospital out in long island.

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you are going to either St. Francis or Winthrop Hospital on Long Island. They are top notch Long Island Heart Hospitals.

Hope you have a speedy recovery.

That is where i am going, to St. Francis Heart Hospital. They are the top notch of heart hospitals and are rated very high. I have been there before and the staff is great and everything is state of the art.

I'm sure you will be fine. Don't worry about the groin. Most heart procedures, such as angioplasty, start there. The incision is generally on your leg; the crown jewels are never in jeaporady!
