Accumulator said:Gee, I'm late to this party! It wasn't all that long ago that people were predicting the death of Autopia, and David was adamantly insisting that it wouldn't come to pass. Given how he has so supported Autopia, even when it wasn't fashionable, it's nice to see him getting this sort of recognition. Can't think of anybody who'd be better for the job.
David Fermani said:1st off I would like to say Thank You to Tunch Goren & the Autopia administration for allowing me the opportunity to hear my thoughts about the direction of the forum. I would also like to thank each and every person who posted in this thread. As many of you may have been aware, we were all kind of on “auto-pilot” shortly after DavidB abandoned ship & the forum mysteriously got hacked. We lost a bit of momentum and members as a result, but because the core of this forum is solid, we managed to recover. We’ve come a long way from that time stamp, but we have A LOT more to go. I’ve got some exciting plans that should be evolving in the near future and I’m pretty excited to be part of it all. I encourage everyone to voice their opinions as I promise to treat every suggestion/complaint with the utmost respect and integrity. I would really like this forum to remain 100% open and free to discuss anything you would like. My goal is to have Autopia be the internet’s #1 source for information to not only the entry level enthusiast, but to professionals and industry experts as well. I am proud of the recent advancements that I have been a part of and truly believe they have made a measureable difference. Stay tuned as Autopia becomes better than ever!!
