Autopia Welcomes David Fermani As Our New Marketing Manager

Gee, I'm late to this party! It wasn't all that long ago that people were predicting the death of Autopia, and David was adamantly insisting that it wouldn't come to pass. Given how he has so supported Autopia, even when it wasn't fashionable, it's nice to see him getting this sort of recognition. Can't think of anybody who'd be better for the job.

Well if we're being 100% honest, Autopia really *was* on the brink of death between DavidB's corruption and the virus and hosting issues that were had. I am well aware of just how instrumental David Fermani (what is it with guys named David always being at the helm, anyway?!) was in pushing a turn-around so it will be very interesting to see what else he has in mind.

1st off I would like to say Thank You to Tunch Goren & the Autopia administration for allowing me the opportunity to hear my thoughts about the direction of the forum. I would also like to thank each and every person who posted in this thread. As many of you may have been aware, we were all kind of on “auto-pilot” shortly after DavidB abandoned ship & the forum mysteriously got hacked. We lost a bit of momentum and members as a result, but because the core of this forum is solid, we managed to recover. We’ve come a long way from that time stamp, but we have A LOT more to go. I’ve got some exciting plans that should be evolving in the near future and I’m pretty excited to be part of it all. I encourage everyone to voice their opinions as I promise to treat every suggestion/complaint with the utmost respect and integrity. I would really like this forum to remain 100% open and free to discuss anything you would like. My goal is to have Autopia be the internet’s #1 source for information to not only the entry level enthusiast, but to professionals and industry experts as well. I am proud of the recent advancements that I have been a part of and truly believe they have made a measureable difference. Stay tuned as Autopia becomes better than ever!!

Congrats to you sir! With you on board officially I'm sure this forum will move forward in a very positive manner. Best of luck to you :)

Congratulations David. You’ve come a long way since your early days with Autopia, still ‘tells it like it is’ but in a much less abrasive way (time begets diplomacy, with experience comes knowledge). With your experience of both production and high-end detailing I’m sure you will continue to be an asset to this forum

Thanks Jon. Welcome back to Autopia! I'm glad you decided to participate once again and your knowledge is certainly embraced. You could definately say my posts/knowledge/experiences these days have been (t)humbled like a deminishing abrasive. :wink1:
