Autopia V4, Phase I Upgrade Complete

Phase I of the Autopia V4 upgrade is now complete.

With any large upgrade, such as this one, there will be issues that were not found in testing. Please report them in this thread. I will fix or offer a workaround to each issue as quickly as possible.

While you may not see a significant visual difference, the complete skin (template system) for Autopia V4 was redesigned from the ground up. The redesigned skin takes full advantage of all vBulletin 3.6.x features.

The two new features you will notice are the Links Directory and the Classified Ads system. As promised to the Pro Detailers last year, the Links Directory will be a great place to advertise your business so people can find you. I will open it up for adding your links in a few days.

The Classified Ads system is open to all non-commercial postings. For vendors, I will post classified ad opportunities in the next week or so. It will be very economical.

Stay tuned for much, much more to come.

Thanks!

David

I like the new look. Very clean with an almost business like look to it.

Yeah, after looking around just a bit, I really like the new look. I hardly ever like changes to forums at first, but this was definitely a change for the better.

I like the new look. I only noticed one bug. The log out user option at the bottom of the home page brings up a "404 Page Not Found" error (at least for me), but the log out option in the User's Login box at the top of the page works properly.

Thanks for all of the hard work on the upgrade!

It does have a nice look to it. The print is smaller so how does one go about getting it a little larger for some us visually challenged people?

cwcad, I'm among the VC's, so I know this trick. In Firefox and Internet Explorer (not sure about Safari) you can hold down the [Ctrl] key and press [+] or [-] to make the font increase or decrease. Unless I gooned it, the forum pages will respond properly.

Dave,

Nice look and looks great. Is the "New Posts" now replaced by active threads?

On the Home Page, Yes. I have a change coming in Phase II that adds a left side column to the forum pages. In the left column I will add navigation tools, a search box and "New Threads" so you can easily see new threads as they are created.

Thank you. I will add this to the bug list.

I'm not sure if this is the same thing as the "new threads" or "active threads" issue, but I'd like to see the "new posts" link returned to the home page as it was before.
