Autopia pronounciation

Regardless of how it is pronounced, it is a damn clever name for this site. The Utopia aspect along with the Auto aspect along with the suffix opia (visual defect) aspect is very very smart. Or is it Smartopia....
 
which syllable should be accented? I always pronounced it aw-TOE-pea-uh but my friends say "AW-toe-pea-uh" like in "automobile".

The only correct way to say it is in a monotone voice so that no one syllable becomes more important than another one.
 
I pronounce it aw - toe - pea - uh and if i tell someone to visit the site i say auto-pia so they know how to spell it.

hahaha, I pronounced it wrong(auto-pia) for years till I went to a meguiars Road Class and heard mike say it. Im glad I didnt talk to anyone about it before I heard him say it!

Fun thread. It never occurred to me to pronounce Autopia in any other way than what is apparently the "correct" way. I just always assumed that the pronunciation was akin to "utopia."



But until recently I also assumed that Souveran was pronounced SOO-ver-an. The pronunciation SOV-er-an makes no linguistic sense to me at all. :)
