Well the reason i did decide on just using a rotary and not picking up the PC was the fact that most people start out with a rotary those that dont know what a PC and never heard of autopia and those that start out in bodyshops and car washes and thats where they learn......so i figured if my dad can learn just from using Rotary and mastering it by himself so can i...... its funny he has never heard of a PC

So what your saying is no PC no professional work.....are you saying without a pc professionalism will not happen.....make yourself more clearer before you attacka 15+ veteran on the rotary....and a man that you have not seen or have ever seen his work......

i think everyone should step back and :chill: :):)

my unbiased view of the thread is that there is some history involved where advice was given a few months ago...apparently not followed...and then some damage done during a recent rotary practice session.

i also think (no offense to the OP) that some of the grammar and wording of what he is trying to say is making it come across a bit more "cocky" than was intended. he sounds like he was practicing on a beater that the owner did not care about (i.e. one big test panel)...goofed up a few times...and then was happy with the overall results. again, just the way he phrased it by saying a rotary is easy or simple...that is just poor wording choice.

i just had my first rotary session last weekend (many may have seen the thread) and learned quickly to respect the power of it...compared to the PC it was downright frightening. :shocked

anyway...just trying to diffuse this a bit.

carry on! :waxing:

I hope my advice was valuable and that I was not harsh. However I sense too many contradictions and even though it all can be understood I am at the point of my life where I will have to gracefully bow out of this.

WARNING!!!

dont put anything in the forum that u dont want criticized and picked apart. i havent been here long...but long enuf to know that u gotta sift thru the bad to get to the good. and sooner or later you'll find somebody that genuinely wants to help you. I'm a novice so I cant volunteer for that lol...but good luck

DB...maybe you could just let it go and start posting questions and/or normal comments, rather than dwelling on how "everyone picks on you"...which is pretty insulting in itself. even if you were poorly treated...do you think that bashing everyone here is going to help?

this forum is EXTREMELY helpful...but some common courtesy is needed as far as doing your own due diligence with reading the Autopia car care FAQ articles, etc.

and no, this is not an attack on you...just a request that you start taking advantage of this site instead of dwelling about people questioning your use of TIRE dressing on PAINT.

get rid of the spam and your question will be answered

The spam is the only reason they're posting. Just asking a question in a weak attempt to make it look like a legit post. You might consider editing your response to him where it repeats the spam in the quote.
