Autopia hacked....again

If these hacker people put half the energry and effort into something positive and usefull who knows what great things could come of it . Hackers:beat , what a waste of time.

Instead of hacking detailing sites, maybe they should just try detailing....that will give them something to do :lol
 
I talked to David, The site was fixed, he thought that he had caught the 2 open doors, but it turns out that he missed one :(

He has wanted to move up to version 3, but all of the templates would have had to be reworked etc... I guess that this attack is now putting the wheels in motion. He is going to open the site back up on the gold release just under Version 3, but very soon, all of the templates are going to be updated and V3 will be implemented. Hopefully that will make the site a little more secure from now on. For all that are autopians, he is one MAD guy. If you really really really need something, that would be the only time i would call in the next day or 2. Untill he gets all of this worked out, he isn't going to be thinking about much of anything else!
 
I've lost so many posts on Autopia because of database crashes and hackers. I figure I've lost probably 2500 posts over there in the last 2 or 3 years. I really hope DC doesn't get hacked. It sucks when good information is lost. Autopia lost like 3 days worth last time because it hadn't been backed up for a couple days. I hope Dwayne is backing up regularly now so we don't get hacked and then lose 6 months worth of posts and members again.
 
His server must still be up. It was just the Autopia board that was hacked. Some glitch in the vBulletin software I guess. :dunno
