Now that I am back, I want to make a difference in the detailing world in a big way. Some of you know me going all the way back to 2002 and you know that I sell car care products for a living but I don't use a salesman approach. I have found that by answering questions and providing specific solutions, my customer can make an informed choice on what's best for them.

Sure, I can tell you about my personal favorite products and if there is enough demand, we can start another thread for that. I've also used just about everything at least once or twice plus I talk to so many detailers and do it yourselfers that I can discuss the characteristics of products that I haven't even used based on popular opinion.

But this thread isn't about products, it's about people. It's about past members, present members and future members of this site, AutopiaForums.com.

I believe that we have an opportunity here to create something very special in the detailing community and I'm looking for a core group of members that want to be part of something they can look back on and say "I was a part of that. I made a positive contribution and wow! Look what happened!"

I've already spoke briefly with some of you about this and even if we haven't spoke one on one yet, don't worry... no one is excluded from this! All are welcomed!

My pastor at church would be happy to know that I paid close attention during membership 101 and 102 classes and I want to share something I learned.

Leadership - Me, John, Pats300ZX, Gearhead_1, Mr. Clean

The Core - This is who I am looking for. Core members that participate in a positive way to the best of their ability. Examples would be starting threads, asking car care and detailing questions, answer car care and detailing questions, posting auto related reviews, pictures, videos etc. Core members should also encourage and welcome The Crowd to join in!

The Crowd - These are the members that have taken the step to register but do not actively post. Their time may not allow more activity or they might spend a lot of time reading or have just not been inspired by The Core or the Leadership to become a more active member. They should be welcomed and encouraged as their participation is highly valued!

The Detailing Community - Visitors to the website that haven't registered for membership yet but they are here and usually hungry to learn. The Crowd, The Core and the Leadership can all work to attract more members by doing their part to make AutopiaForums.com an excellent resource for car care and auto detailing information.

The Core is open to detailers and car enthusiasts of all skill levels, young or old. New members, long time members, I'm inviting everyone that reads this to become part of The Core of AutopiaForums.com. Some of you already are!

Who's in?

I'm always looking to learn more about this hobby-turned passion-turned enthusiastic obsession :D and I'm always willing to share whatever I know with others who've also been bitten by the bug. Bonding with the people behind all of this is more gratifying than any shiny paint, so you can always count me in.:bigups

Like I said in a previous post Dwayne..........I am on board and believe in this forums future to be informative, Top of the line Products, share advice and to help others !!

Since the change over I have actually made it a point to try and frequent AF as much as possible. I like the community we have here and relish the chance to be a part of bringing it back to greatness. I'm in!!!

Thanks Dwayne, this IS a step in the right direction.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to your contributions!

So great to have you back. I would love to read an article written by you about washing a car by hand. I think you may have set the record previosly for most sheepskin wash mitts used during one car wash.

Count me in Dwayne! :autopia:

Great! Just stay out of trouble will ya?

It wouldn't be the same without you Wendell!

This being one of the many forums I've called "home" for a number of years, count me in!

And I'm looking forward to many more years with you too!

I'll do what I can to help.

Maybe a Concours Detailing section for you to share your tips?

I really appreciate the response this thread has gotten and all I can say is let's do this!

I have less to offer since I stepped back (way back) from detailing some years ago but I'll offer what help/advice/opinion I can when possible. I haven't forgotten everything.....
