Autopia Detail Day at Meguiar's

I'll guarantee that 90% (or more) of today's attendees will choose (or at least consider first) Meg's products for the rest of their lives... and for good reason.

Jimmy,

I must admit, I haven't been using Meguiar's products exclusively as of late; but being able to try a few out today was a great reminder as to how well their products work.

The information that Mike presents is well organized and well presented. This was my third time at Meguiar's and I'm sure not my last. I've always picked up a little something new each class. I definitely recommend that anyone should try and attend one. The class is very informative, and the hands-on can be very educational...

I certainly hope that everyone's expectations were met today!

Barry has been using this 'simple' demostration technique for decades. It works, apparently.

I certainly am not exclusive to Mequiar's products, but (with few exceptions) I could be! I'll place a regular $450 order on Monday.

Mike Phillips is the real deal.

Jim

I second every word! Even as someone who (when I took the class) had been detailing full time more than 10 years, I still ended up learning a lot more than I expected to. I was still reasonably new to the PC and Mike was very thorough when explaining and demostrating the proper use.

It was also a great way to meet a lot of fellow Autopians, some who, like Jim, Aurora40, rjstaff and Me who came from flyover country to all the California members who attended.

Even if you use other products exclusively, a Meguiars detailing seminar is worth attending to learn more about detailing and meet with other's who also enjoy detailing.

Mike Phillips, Mike Pennington and Barry Meguiar himself are all enthusiasts first and it shows. I bet everyone who was there today had a magnificent time. :)

I sure wish I could have gone....

DITTO.... Glad everyone enjoyed their time doing some work.. :D

Keep up the clean rides. :xyxthumbs

I'd second everything Jimmy and Scott said. I also learned a ton at the first Autopia detail day, and am grateful to Meguiar's for the opportunity to attend.

Maybe we can plan a 5-year reunion trip out there, take a day or two to see the automotive sites, break into Jay's garage and see his new additions, then cap it off with a day of detailing action at Meguiar's. :)

What a great opportunity that was. The Meg's crew really has it together. I have to agree that there is a lot of info covered and it's not a sales pitch class. I walked away with some great info that I will put into practice.

I get first drive in that 1966 Toronado of his. ;)

They were still building it when we took the tour.

BTW, pics from that Meguairs/Autopia meet up are on my website in the 'misc' section. Sorry, can't post a link since it is my commercial site, you'll have to find them on your own. ;)

I think I saw that Toronado on "Rides" which is a show on TLC. They are converting it from front drive to rear and dropping in a huge engine or something like that right?

an awesome day indeed! great information (thanks to mike & tim), enthusiastic/nice people, free food/drinks, and a free gift bag wih some goodies. you can't get much better than that! :up

I had a great day. I gained lots of really good information and I had a chance to meet and talk with some fellow Autopians. The gift bag was really nice but I liked having a chance to try some Meguiar's products more.

Mike Phillips is a class act. We got to meet Barry Meguiar and ask him some questions.
