Autopia Connect!

Why not have just basic things to cover the initial cost of connect.

1. 99$ a year fee
2. Minimum $50 for standard shipping.
3. Minimum $100 for 2 day shipping.
4. Even a first minimum of $200 or something.
 
I`m a new customer, and just made my first purchase from Autopia (enough for free shipping). But I normally don`t want that much at one time, so would hesitate to order. Free shipping is a REALLY big deal to most consumers.


I can tell you that I order WAY more from Amazon with Prime than I would if I had to hit their much much lower minimum order for free shipping. You clearly wanted Connect to be a Prime for Detailers sort of thing. Sounds like you succeeded. Tweak it and keep it. Sounds like your core customers love it.
 
Heck, didn`t even realize Rewards points existed...much less the Connect Program (or did at one point).

PBMG has pretty much the best selection on its sites...Connect program would make `hoarding until ordering` a thing of the past as S/H can get kinda outta control if buying many light items like pads, towels. Connect availability would (for better or worse) lure me to order more and more often. Was gonna order some pads/towels today but deleted cart after $60 in pads was gonna incur $17.95 in shipping...and not hit my doorstep for 8 days.

Some for of connect would help alleviate that...but understand it`s gotta make sense for merchant.

With S/H outta the equation, I`d guess my `impulse` purchases would increase tenfold. Probably not a good thing for currently avaliable shelf space...or domestic tranquility.

Don`t forget discounts + discounts on sale items, and special connect member only sales........

(and Rand, Paul and Jason are great at knowing what moves and great salesmen)

I barely see anything good on Autopia Connect only sale though, nor receiving any email when it`s been updated. Are we supposed to receive an email when it`s been updated?

I keep looking over at AG and their $195 free shipping "deals" and think how much money I would have saved if I didn`t have Autopia Connect. I thought $150 was high. $50 for free shipping after discounts would work for me. I can always come up with enough stuff for $50. I would also like to see some more Connect member deals before time runs out.
