Should we wax on factory new paint for the first 30 days? It we shouldn't, then how long should we wait till the first layer of wax?

The factory paint on new cars is pretty much fully cured. I think you can wax right on it with no problem. If you want to wait, then just do the 30days.

I would do it the day I received my new car but if your unsure follow Intel486 advice.

Factory paint is usually cured by baking...but the fact that it is an "assembly line" process designed to get the car out and get the profits up normally means that they do it quickly & out the door. Later it MIGHT be checked by an inspector who is awake...or not. But the big thing is that most cars don't see the dealer for an additional 60 days. The overflow lot for awhile, then the car sales lot and then your driveway. That's probably be 90 days or more. If it is made offshore, add another 3 months. So, I wax when I feel like waxing.

I used the search function and got some answers, but not exactly and was hoping I could get some more specifics from anyone that has used this product.

I got some recently and figured I was going to use it as a part of my "spring clean-up" on at least one of my cars, but had some specific questions. Maybe some of you can help:

I plan to use the Super Resin Polish with my G110 and I have a wide assortment of pads, including Megs Pads (6.5 inch), LC CCS Pads (4 inch) and an assortment of other pads including 5.5 inch flat pads. Both of my cars are in good shape. Neither car needs major correction, so I thought this product might fit the bill. So here are my questions:

1. What is the strength of the product, compared to other AIO's? Like Klasse AIO or Megs D151?

2. What type of protection does it leave behind? Should I top it and if so, can I go with my fave (BFWD) or would I be better served using Autoglym HD (which I also have).

3. Is this product more of a "paint cleaner" rather than a true polish? Meaning would it be more akin to a "cleaner wax" rather than a polish that leaves behind some protection?

4. Any suggestions for pad size, brand and color? As I said above I've got an assortment of Megs (older) 6.5" pads, LC CCS 4" pads and LC 5.5" flat pads (non-hydro).

Thanks.

THe one time I tried it - I found it to be an oily, smelly liquid that was at best a cleaner wax and I used it before AGHD to make a base. Oh - LC white pad, 5.5" via PC. I put it back in the cabinent and will probably trade my neighbor for something he dislikes.

IMHO - KAIO is head and shoulders above this stuff.

I got a whack of samples of this stuff (along with the HD wax) at the auto show, so figured I would give it a try, but maybe I'll give it a very short leash.

I'll try it out on a few panels, and if I find I'm not liking it, I'll switch to some M205 and a white 5.5" LC for some light cleaning.

It will clean very well. Does not have much corrective ability. It does have good filling capabilities. If you go over once with a DA and then again lightly by hand (so you don't remove the previous layer) so can get really good filling. I have used AG HD, BWD and MPL, FK1000P, IW845, 476s over the top with no issues. I did not find the resulting finish oily at all.

I would only use it on car that did not need correction.
