Autogeek Yellow Cutting Foam Pad

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Autogeek about a month ago. Today I went to use some of the pads I had ordered and was a little suprised. My yellow cutting foam pad (6.5" VC) has ~ a 3/8" diameter centered hole completely thru the pad and the velcro backing. http://www.autogeek.net/vcpad.html

Checked the Autogeek website and that's definitely how it's manufactured. Is this hole for those Edge 2000 quick adapters? If not, what's the reason behind this?

They make some type of tool that fits into the pad and backing plate so you can center the pad easier.

Dont get any polish down that hole....

If you switch to a pad without a hole, and with product on the BP, you might melt the pad to the BP on speed 6.
