Autogeek is off my list, any other place to order pads from?

Don't let one bad experience ruin a good relationship with a vendor. I'm sure he'll be getting an attitude re-adjustment soon :D

I agree, Autogeek has always been good to me and handled any issues I have had quickly. Meghan is who I always talk to, she is very friendly and provides great customer service. :xyxthumbs

Email Meghan....

She is the best and will definitely make it up to you...As for 5.25" and 5.5" pads go, I have seen them advertised in those sizes from different vendors.

Sean.....

don't let this detour you from ordering from them again, call megan or dwayne and they will resolve the issue and make it right. customer service is top priority with me, and AG has always been good to me...

how is that wax detailedimage has on sale right now? anyone have any recommendations for wax I could apply with my new pcxp?

FWIW, my latest "6.5 inch" pads came in bags labeled 152 mm, which converts to 5.98 inches. I don't think these measurements (or the reporting of them) are all that precise.

I think that many of us have a "relationship" with AG that goes back many years. I've enjoyed their wide selection of products, great service and this web site for a long time. Although I have never had any problems that a few, very few, talk about here, I would not abandon that relationship based upon a rare mistake or misunderstanding. Give it another shot, the price match is still there, just talk to Megan and get it straightened out.

I have always found Meghan, Jason, and even Dwayne to represent AG is the best light and never an issue. It sounds like Bobby wasnt familar with the other vendors stock and questioned it maybe asking in the wrong manner or tone. Give them a chance to make it right. :xyxthumbs

I've done well with most of the vendors listed in this thread, and I've had some "oh sheesh, only Accumulator... " type issues that needed resolved.

With any business all it takes is one bad experience to sour any previous good ones.

I usually approach it differently, especially when I can pinpoint a specific individual as the cause of the bad experience, said individual becoming the focus of some, uhm.... attention.

How the vendor resolves the issue, once it's been brought to the proper person's attention, determines my future patronage (or lack thereof).

Another vote for detailersdomain.com

His pads are quite a bit nicer than LC CCS (esp the green pad).

He seems to carry all the other products you mention.

No offense, but if you've had good dealings with AG in the past and just one "off" dealing, and you're scrubbing them off your list of providers, it sounds to me like you're the one jumping the gun here...

Calm down, breath a little and talk to someone else at AG and you'll get taken care of. You're being a little over-dramatic about this as, based on your description of the conversation, Bobby wasn't being rude, just asking that you make sure it's and Apples and Apples product that you're asking for a price-match on and not a different product all-together.

Your silly post reminds me of the way I was treated 3 years ago when I had an issue with autogeek. More then a few people told me it was my fault.

IMO they made a feeble attempt to fix the situation, but would never admit that I was treated improperly. So I have never ordered anything from autogeek since.

Totally wrong. (CMA)Proper Auto Care's LC pads are 5.5 inch. I don't know why this bobby guy would say that? The thing I like about PAC is that all their guys are Pros detailers, not just salespeople. Rest assured that they will give you the truth, not just some flub to inflate their sales numbers. They eat, breathe and sleep detailing. Plus, they are the only ones who offer a Constant Pressure pad design which I think is far superior over basic pads. Join their forum and they'll take 10% off too. Good luck.

David, I feel the same way. I hate detailing with salepeople anywhere that have not used the products they are suggesting. I see so much misinformation by some vendors that all I can do is shake my head. :sadpace:

I'm still not sure I see the problem here.

Bobby wanted to confirm the exact match-up of supplies between vendors before allowing a price match, and in the end, he was actually right? ("He was asking me to make sure they offered the 5.5 pads and it turned out they (properautocare) only has 5.25 which I had no idea.")

And the customer is mad because why? :doh

If that situation described is correct, then I think GMblack and Jose need to sit down and take a breath. :xyxthumbso

If someone comes to a forum and takes the time to complain about the service they received, I'm pretty sure they where not happy.

The customer was given the incorrect information. Properautocare does carry 5.5" LC foam, its called:

Lake Country Classic Flat 5-1/2" Foam Pads

So the salesrep for autogeek was not correct.

So please check your facts before you call anyone out. :xyxthumbs

So PAC does carry 5.5 LC classic foam pads...but why does Jose state that "It turned out they (properautocare) only has 5.25 which I had no idea"?

Is Jose saying that he, Jose, learned that PAC only has 5.25'' pads, or is Jose saying that Bobby informed him that PAC only has 5.25'' pads?

When we use names, it helps to clarify things.

Looks like all is resolved; yay! :bigups

"bobby guy made it seem as though I was trying to be shady"

It was the attitude and tone (unprofessional) of Bobby that offended Jose. Call Bobby and you will know what I'm talking about, but I'm sure AutoGeek already gave him a talk by now.

i think just about anywhere you call (or do business with) there might be a chance that you come across someone that rubs you the wrong way. while in this case, it seems that bobby was that person, IME i've talked to him many of times and he's been very cool with me and very helpful. as mentioned... give dwayne or meghan a call and explain/sort this miscommunication out and i'm sure it will be resolved. maybe you can call and talk to bobby again and explain the situation that you were just trying to price match and save a few bucks. i'm sure you guys can get on the same page again and let this go out the window and start all back over...
