Auto transports half way across the country

Folks are looking at a car in California on ebay. If purchased we will need it transported here to iowa. What company/companies to use and also stay away from. Ive got quotes so far open carrier from AAA Auto movers, American Dream Auto transport, Awesome Auto transport, And true Blue Auto Transport. I put into a place that locates transport companies 3 different ones with them to find 6-10 firms to haul the vehicles. What are your thoughts on who to use/ not use prices? It is an old convertible that needs restored. Thank You RANDAL.....
 
I have had 3 cars shipped with AAAll States Auto Transport. They did an excellent job. They are actually a broker for shipping companies.
 
I've always dealt with DAS They are not brokers but the actual shipping company with their own trucks. You can even track the car on their site as all the trucks use GPS. Very dependable and on time in my experience.

Hint: Instead of door to door you can save a lot of $$ by dropping a car off at their terminal and/or picking it up at a terminal at the other end. Also using your own insurance in lieu of theirs saves big $$
 
Thanks guys. Did not end up winning the vehicle on ebay. Prices from $931-$1400 open transport, add $300 -600 more for enclosed. It was a white 1961 ford sunliner convertible in Arcata, CA. Brought $6700, I was on every other bid of $200 increase for my parents, but vehicle needed total restoration. Just had surface rust, but the top would not go up. Thanks again Randal
