Can I purchase any swirl removers at local auto part stores such as Advanced Auto Parts, NAPA, and Autozone????

If so what would you recommend and what steps do you take with it on the car?

Thanks alot,
Blake

I haven't found any stores around me that sell swirl removers that I like. If you don't have many swirls Mothers Power Polish is decent and I did use 3M Swirl MArk Remover which was also decent. Both have fillers, to my knowledge, which may or may not work with you.

You should be able to find Meguiar's and 3M swirl removers at local auto parts stores.
3M, I know nothing about, but I have used Meg's #9 with some success.
Swirl removal by hand is quite a task. A PC would be a good investment if you don't already have one.
I use a polishing pad, speed of 4.5 to 5, work it till it is gone. It isn't terribly abrasive and takes some time to do its work. Some people feel that #9 fills rather than removes. I don't feel that way since I usually follow it with Klasse AIO, I think the fillers would have been removed. If AIO removed the fillers, the swirls would reappear and they don't.

Any NAPA location can order any Meguiars product and have it in a couple of days. I've taken advantage of this a couple of times.

NAPA should be able to get you most of the Mirror Glaze line of Meg's products. You may want to try #80 Speed Glaze if you are working by hand. I think the prdouct number is M-8032.

speaking of napa other than being able to order some megs products do they carry a better line of megs product then you would find at an autozone etc. i ask because i have a napa not to far from me and it always comes to mind when i drive by. sorry to cut in on your thread. i only have one question.

Your fine, I basically have my answers anyways.

NAPA is the smallest autopart store around me probably, and there is autozone, NAPA, Advanced Autoparts and all those around me and I normally go to Advanced because I find they tend to have the best selection along with Autozone.....

NAPA doesn't keep a huge stock of detailing products, but they can order a majority of the mirror glaze line. I have purchased pads, #83 and #80 from them as well as #40. It may take them a day or two to get it in, but with my family's discount it's worth the wait.
