Auschwitz drone footage

That is a very moving video of man kinds horrendous acts. And now we have ISIS basically doing the same.

I mean no offense nor give ISIS a pass on anything but your picture of the NAZI's is not complete.

I believe it was mainly how the facility was laid out but you cannot help thinking of what went on there. Isis is not quite where the Nazi's were but there are reports and evidence of chemical warfare.

I watched a lot of this video - but couldn't stomach the whole thing. First off, I think the dramatics of flying around with a drone over a concentration camp 75+ years after actual events a bit silly.

It doesn't really reflect the suffering of the the victims or the brutality of the NAZIS in any quantitative perspective. The starkness of the lighting may be oh so right for You Tubers, but it does little to inform of the ideology of what made those places so heinous.

If one is really interested in this type of thing, there are numerous books and documentaries that do a much better job to enlighten the curious compared to a plastic helicopter strapped with a Go Pro flying over Auschwitz today.

All that being said, I walked around Dachau one night by myself. The "camp" was closing, and it was getting dark. I paid my 6 euros. I think I was the only one on the premises besides the guy who let me in. Actually being there was something I'll never forget.

Oh man, that must've been quite the Lifetime Experience! Just reading your post was very, uhm...affecting. That "alone there at twilight"....jeeze man, I mean...I'm fully grounded in rationality and I'm not easily spooked, but that'd really be something. That said, I genuinely envy you the experience.
