Audio installs

How many of you do custom audio installs as well as detailing?

I know i do some every now and then. I'm in the middle of mine right now. I'll try to get some pictures of how it's coming along. Unfortunately i lost the set screw for the blade on my jigsaw so i'm stuck right now and can't move on until i can find it or borrow someone's. So pictures later this evening.

I have installed a 13Ov.2 from Elemental Designs and a NINe.2x amp from them as well. Sounds fantastic, just need to finish making it pretty.

are you talking about installs as a side business or are you talking about screwing around with your own cars. I've done plenty of messing around with my cars. I do often wish I had a professional installer as a friend or neighbor because my imagination is way bigger than my talent/skills.

Wes you must not have ordered a sound system that actually originall slot? I ordered my last one from Crutchfeild, got all the accessories needed with it too. Such as DIN tools, adapter wires, adaptor plate, and excellelent directions. Its a cheap ALPINE (made in China), but better than the system that quit working. I was quite happy.

My background actually came from custom auto systems i mainly did a few install's for fellow car club members and a few others ill post my last build before i moved up to tennessee

it was one of my cleaner builds leaving the stock look around the interior just putting black suede in inserts dying the carpet and putting suede on the headliner besides that and the enormous box it was a pretty nice build

Damm that's some system.At least you went with the best JL audio that's all i use .Were did you stick the extra car battery's .

randall.... i'm not really sure what youre saying... im not asking for help on mine, i was just asking if anyone does installs on the side. I'm perfectly capable, i've probably done 100-150 different installs. What i'm working on right now is the trunk install.... i got about half way done cutting the mdf i needed and then i went to change blades on my jigsaw and lost my set screw

i put them in the back right behind the speaker enclosure partially built onto it. i have a picture of it in there

i've been installing for the past 2 years or so i can work with almost anything my customer wants i specialize in fiberglass your able to go a little more wild than mdf. that and you get more airspace per speaker cleaner sounding music but yeah if anyone needs any help with installs im welcome to lend a hand i don't really charge to help out its just a hobbie of mine

its been in a few comp's and gone threw a few windsheilds lol but it isnt mine but ya its an amazing machine and i originally used to live in mount dora , fl then i moved to Johnson city, tn now im kinda wanting to go back but then again i kind of like it here

i got a few little cars

2002 Honda S2000 white with red interior 46k miles

2007 Audi A4 S-line Quattro 11k miles black on black

1995 Nissan 240sx Gold with black interior 209kmiles

you can kinda figure which one i drive the most

the 240sx was kinda my project car but 3 weeks ago someone hit me and ran and i resulted in selling all the parts i had aquired to modify the car i had high hopes for it but everythings kinda changed insurance wanted to toal it out for 2k when i had over 9k invested already in rebuilding the motor and the few other mods i did to the drive line so they didnt want to give me more for it so i told them to give me the 2k and id just fix it to be driveable looks like crap on the outside now and runs like shit ...
