Hey everyone. It's been a while since we have had the time to do a write up, but we figured this R8 was well worth it. This is also the first car to recieve Finest at our new shop in Chantilly, VA.
We started with the normal wash, clay, and iron x to get the car clean and see the true condition of the paint. It certainlty wasn't the worst paint we've ever dealt with, but it was in dire need of some serious TLC.
After spending some time testing various combinations we setteled on a two step approach to correct the paint. The first step was M101 on a MF pad with the Rupes 21 and the finishing step was Car Pro Reflect on a black Car Pro pad, also with the Rupes 21.
After the correction we did two Car Pro Eraser wipe downs to prep the paint, wheels, and trim for Cquartz Finest. Unfortunatly the sun never came out while the car was here, but it did try to peak out from behind the clouds. Enjoy the only "sun" shot...lol
Anyway, 3 layers of Finest were applied to the paint, wheels, and trim while FlyBy30 was applied to the glass. The tires were dressed with Car Pro PERL. After the coating cured the car got a final wipedown with Car Pro Reload.
