A very short write up this time so apologies for that! We just didn't take enough photos before hand!
What's so special about this A4 you ask? Well this is an A4 DTM Special Edition, only 900 were brought into the country! A tad under £30,000 for this when new it boasts half leather and alcantara, plenty of DTM badging, carbon fibre trim and spoilers and a retuned 2.0T engine putting out 220bhp.
Anyway, onto the detail.
No De-Swirl this time, a good clean, clay and long lasting wax protection was what was needed.
We started off with jetwashing it down, blasting off the bugs that had attatched themselves to the front of the car. This was followed by some Snowfoam through the Gilmour Gun and Edge Wash Schmitts. Once it had being washed a couple of times we clayed the car using Meguiars Mild (Blue) Clay. Very little came off the car which wasn't suprising given its age (1 yr old) and the fact it was washed regularly. It was then washed once again. Oh, the door and boot shuts were also cleaned carefully with Meguiars Super Degreaser and some MF's!
The alloys were cleaned with a combination of Super Degreaser and AG Bug Remover. They were also protected with the same wax as the rest of the car!
Once the car was clayed we dried it using the now familiar Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towels and a squirt of Meg's Last Touch.
Protection was the name of the game for this 20,000 mile a year car, so out came the CG Jetseal again, which is fast becoming our weapon of choice for the longer lasting wax. 2 coats of this was applied 30 mins apart.
Once the car had it's coat on we cleaned and treated the black rubber and vinyl with Meguiars #38, this made quite a difference to the window rubbers.
Believe it or not I'd actually spent 15 minutes doing the front Audi badge, making it all nice and shiny!
Anyway, here's the pictures and thanks for reading!
Thanks!
