Auction Wash

My business received a call from a gentleman from Calif. asking if we would be able to wash cars at a large auction convention. He said probably about 150 cars or so. Some may just need to be sprayed down, some soaped and scrubbed and some wet down under the hood. No interior work. He said he normally get $5-6 a car. Has anyone ever done this type of work before and what suggestions might you have?

if it makes sense to do it financially and effort wise to you go for it. Assume youll have to scrub each one, hopefully youre using Di I water and wont have to fully dry each one. 100 cars 5.00 each = 500.00 5-10 minutes a car 6-12 cars an hour 8.5 hours if 12 an hr assuming you have the water capacity, hose length and good access. I'd hire two laborers oversee and hope they don't damage in the process.

Wow Scott, that is a sweet deal!! Snap some pics if you can---and reserve the first 03' Harley 2-tone F150 for me!

Heck it sounds like a lot of work but the payout would be nice espeacially if you got $6 a car at 150 cars thats $900 buckaroos not to shabby. I would hire someone to helpeven $10/hr based on 10hrs to do these cars thats only $100 bucks you still make $800..sign me up....

I would get in writing what he expects and get a retainer fee if possible. Make sure there is a complete understanding of what you will and will not do to a car for the price quoted.
