Attempting hand polish, no idea what to do

Hey all,

Seems it has been forever and a week since I posted here, but I have a challenging task at hand. My intercooler on my car is looking rather dull and dirty and barely stands out. So, since I am newly single and have a bunch of time on my hands, I am looking into polishing it up or at least making it slightly noticable.

I believe it is aluminum and when I originally got it, it had a litte shine to it. I suppose I'm not looking for a mirror reflection, but just something that stands out and looks clean. I will most likely be taking the mesh off when I remove the bumper to do this.

My problem: I have to leave the FMIC on the car. Uninstalling it with the hardpipe setup I have is an EXTREME pain in the *** and not worth the time. So any tips on what I should use, product wise? I don't have a PC or a drill for the powerball er whatever it is called, so I am left with only my 2 hands.

Any advise would be GREATLY appriciated

really any metal polish will get your IC looking great. I used Eagle One Nevr-Dull on my SRT-4's IC. Just keep in mind your going to need a good amount of elbow grease. I say just get a 6 pack of beer and have a fun afternoon polishing :bigups Oh, and btw, black is faster

And the harder you rub, the blacker your towel will get. It's the heat of friction that brings out the shine.....

(I thought yellow was the fastest color....) :grinno:

.

Check out the line of English metal polishes at TOL . I haven't tried mine yet, but I'm pretty confident that they're gonna be my new metal polishes.

Decided it will be too much of a hassle by hand. Ill wait till my friend comes down and use his powerball.
