Attaching Gilmour Foamgun to Pressure Washer?

let me know if you find a fitting.. . i've been searching.

my bro work in fabrication company, i'm asking him to machine a fitting for me.

buy a cannon for your PW instead of messing with it....the internals of the Gli are not designed to withstand the high pressures of a PW......you will probably destroy it in No time......

Meaning thicker foam that sticks to the car. Don't know what soap they used though.

sure it's thicker and clings longer, but with the foam gun you can use it as a pre-soak (still puts out a good amount of foam depending on the soap you use) AND while you wash...

IIRC at one point in time an online vendor was selling the

gilmour with fittings to go to a pressure washer as a "foam cannon"

don't think they sold it for long so there must have been some issures with it

I really wanted a Gilmore Gun. Never got one though. I bought a shampoo cannon from PRI Industries for $15 bucks. It connects to my pressure washer. I like it because it does not produce as much foam. Being mobile it may cause a problem on some of the businesses where I detail. I also work for the water department where I live. I don't want them to be on me about chemical runoff. Don't want to cause trouble for myself. I still think the Foam Guns are cool!

After using the Gilmour for a while, I just got my CamSpray for the pressure washer yesterday. There is NO Comparison. The Gilmour is only rated at 60-90 psi according to the manual so I wouldn't try the modification. The Gilmour may still have a use as a backup, but the CamSpray with a bayonet quick release on my Karcher PW is too fast and so much better, that IDK when I will use the Gilmour again. Thicker foam, adjustable ratio dial, adjustable fan width, and fits the PW all make it much better IMO. $85 well spent ($16 more for the Karcher Bayonet and adapter).

I have a Karcher 1800 psi electric I just got at lowes. What exactly is needed to connect to my PW. If you dont mind a run down of the parts list and where you got it?

Thanks

I have am exact same lance as the Camspray foam attachment, and it works VERY well. Used with a specific foaming product it gives rich suds that cling well. I also use it with shampoos that foam well, like DG901, and it can provide a nice blanket of wash solution making it easier to then mitt/GS etc.

Trying to get away from it now though and switch more to ONR, but in winter its tough to give it up for interim touchless washes to get it 70% clean...

in my opinion the runoff is less with a foamer....i use less soap with my cam spray then i do without it using just the standard 2BM...

i usually use 3-4 oz of Hyperwash in my wash bucket with no foamer.....with the foamer i use 1oz in the bucket and about 1oz of soap in the foamer...i even find that for washes when the car is just dusty more than actually dirty i dont even bring out a wash mitt....just foam and let dwell then a real good pressure rinse and i am golden.....
