2010 Aston Martin. I've previously detailed a Pro-Charged Z06 and a built LS2 GTO for the owner. He sold both vehicles and bought this Vantage lightly used but horribly abused by a dealership detailer. It was originally going to be a basic detail until I saw the paint in the sun. He agreed to let me go harder into the paint.
The compounding was by far the most time consuming step, everything else went really quick considering the starting point. Took my son and I about 3 1/2 hours start to finish, total of 7 man hours.
Wheels were pretty dirty:
Sprayed down with Optimum Power Clean (3:1 dilution) and then washed with Optimum No Rinse:
Before shots of the paint after an ONR wash and Opti-Raser clay sponge:
Optimum Hyper Compound using an Optimum microfiber cutting pad and my PC 7424 XP on speed 6
Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC on speed 5
Interior needed some work too:
Woolite/water cut 20:1 to clean the leather
3D Carpet Shampoo cut 16:1 to clean the carpets
HD Speed by hand to polish the carbon fiber and plastic
Optimum Protectant Plus to protect the door panels and dash (they are leather but felt a protectant better suited them)
Meguiars Leather Conditioner for the seats
The paint was protected with Optimum Opti-Seal and tires/fenderwells with Armor All
Couple shade shots:
