Ask-A-Vendor Chat Night!

Sorry guys, I'm no techie but think we had too many people coming in at same time we might have overloaded the database! I apologize for the inconvenience to anyone that made time to join us tonight but technical difficulties have forced us to cancel the chat and as you saw, the whole site went down.

I spoke with Richard Lin by phone and he agreed to reschedule for this coming Wednesday and we will be doing a Black Wow giveaway contest this weekend!

There were a good amount of people last week so I could see why this may have happened. Either way, I'm sure you guys will get it straightened out. You can count on me for next week!

I think it was Richard and I looking for a pic of Hammerette. As I said on the forum, she moderated a very interesting contest - guess what it is (usually super macro) -- with hints along the way.

Over the years I've taken a lot of micro shots of detailing tools and defects using a digital microscope.

Here are some examples along with Hammerette that I think is PG safe.

Here's a back shot of her as she helped me prep a Corvette.

Well I hope they fix it soon. The chats were pretty cool.

Back when Dewayne took over Detail City and revamped the site a little, the chat room was removed. One reason was it supposedly was a CPU hog but Dewayne relented and restored it after a bunch of us cry babies wanted it back.

My guess is this is why it is not back. He may need to find a better chat room besides the chatbox.

I doubt it... they've got access to a pretty scalable hosting solution if they need it to support the chat software.

With the exception of the Black Wow Chat that was down because of technical issues, we fulfilled our list of scheduled chat nights.

We are now evaluating different chat solutions and the viability of continuing the scheduled chat nights.

One thing for sure, we won't leave you guessing where there is one. Just like always, we will announce it.

Ahhh... all wound up and no place to run. Sounds like this is a differentiator that potentially has no future. :drive:
