I was looking for small detail brushes to clean the interior and also to remove wax residue on trims.

I decided to see if art supply store had any paintbrushes that can be used for detailing

I came out with theses brushes:

New brushes next to my Zymol horsehair brush. Came out to 4.95$:D

All natural boar's hair 0.90$

On special 0.77$, so I picked up 3 of them. These would be great for vents and to get stuff out my my seats

Picked up the smallest paintbrush I could find to paint paint chips on my hood and bumper, only 1.17$

I'll have to go to their bigger store to see if they have even larger brushes (1inch+) similar to Zymol brush.

What art store did you go to? Or did you go to like a Hobby Lobby kind of thing?

Maybe you should test one on your rims to see how they hold up against the hard work. I have some tight spots on my rims and I just haven't bought one of those swissvax wheels brushes.

Ah, good finds :xyxthumbs

Is that one pictured beside the toothpick a size 1 or a size 0?

I really like using tiny artists brushes for touchups and for some jobs I like *VERY* small ones. If you can't find small-enough ones locally, google "MicroMark", they sell some in the "multi-zero" size range. But don't go *too* small with metallics (gee, guess how I know :o ).

Hehe great find! Be careful about your Zymol brush though, they've been known to break easily. Swissvax brushes are generally better than the Zymol ones, hehe. They seem to hold up a lot better.

Oh and if you go to Michael's you may be able to find a brush similar to the Zymol/Swissvax brush. I know I did. ;)

that is a good find. Few months ago, a buddy of mine dragged me into a woodworking shop. I managed to seek out 3-4 things that were good for detailing. wood handled foam brushes that were various sizes, bag o rags, plastic rags, foam applicators etc...then over by the power tools I see a PC (no backing plate) in a glass display case..It didn't have a price but I'm sure it wasn't cheaper than normal.

I bought a 10 pack of the 1" foam to use for dressing window trim for like $3.50

Arts and Craft stores offer so much to the detailer... just start browsing with an open mind.

Find a piece of scrap vinyl to cover windshield and cowl while buffing...
