Armoral Wheel Cleaner REVIEW + My over the top detail teaser pics...

i've had good luck with eagle one, but i also have a couple wheel brushes. get a proper brush for the situation and it'll take you only a few seconds per wheel to get them clean. your wheels aren't ridiculously complicated to clean like old bbs gold wheels.

Hm.. I'm having a lot of trouble understanding why you would choose to leave your wheels dirty, yet you care so much to keep your car paint clean. Seriously, you could take a dry microfiber, and the brake dust would come right off if you had wax/sealant on the wheels. That would be even faster than spraying wheel cleaner than then using a hose to spray it off.

Also, any chance you have a cracked CV boot? I tried cleaning a friend's car and even with soaking it with P21S gel, it took me hours to get off the stuff that leaked into his wheels.

A wheel sealant once a month (Try Poorboys or Autoglym) and then a quality wheel cleaner such as P21S will keep those clean with minimal effort. Seems a shame not to do it when the rest of the car is so nice and clean. The sealant should also help it look clean for longer

Mike you answered and made every point I was thinking about too reading this thread. What is the point of having a nicely polished and clean BMW if people look down and go "Gee it's a shame that his tires and wheels look like crap"? The point is Danforz; if you take the time to clean them properly and put a sealant on them simple car soap, a wheel face brush and a spoke brush will have them clean in a couple of minutes. Since you like the Mother's FX line have you tried their tire dressing or the Reflections dressing? If you have a couple of good coats on I find I just have to wash with a bit of soap on the old sheepskin and they are clean again.

I hope you reconsider your current line of thinking on this subject. :hairpull

'Agreed with everyone here. Just take the time to put down a sealant (I use the Klasse SG on my 335i) and it makes it easy to clean off. \r\n\r\nBack to your inital question about hands free cleaning, if you had to, I\'ve had success with the P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner, but it\'s not cheap.\r\n\r\nUgh, the E92 328i ZSP wheels are nice looking, but they look like a real PITA to clean. The 5 spoke on the E92 335i ZSP luckily are easier to clean.'

If you are not willing to seal and maintain, you might want to seriously consider getting a 5 spoke wheel or something easier to clean? I hated cleaning the wheels that came with my acura, but my summer 5 spokes were a breeze.

from a fellow BMW owner, our brakes are a blessing and a curse. for safety's sake, they are awesome. can stop on a dime. but they dust like a mofo. however, I must say that nothing looks better than having the wheels clean. add a little tire dressing and it completes the look. ask a female what they notice about a man's wardrobe...and 9 of 10 will say his shoes. same with a car...keep the shoes looking good, and you'll turn heads on the road!

I haven't applied a sealant on my wheels (yet), and I can feel your pain. but the 10 minutes I spend cleaning the wheels are 100% worthwhile for the 2-3 days that they sparkle. I try to clean them once a week, and that is only because of the curse of the beemer brake dust. there isn't much around it. it is absolutely amazing how dirty they get after only a few days. so hopefully I too will be able to update after sealing the wheels, but for now I'm content with a little AA cleaner (have about 1/4 bottle left) and mild agitation with a wheel brush. Every other wash I'll get in there with a wash cloth (a couple bucks for a dedicated wheel mitt is on my shopping list though) and get the inside as well.

the more you remove, the longer it will stay clean (obviously)...but our BMW wheels are definitely a magnet for dusting.
